In quick succession from the last two free releases, label owner Eschaton releases a free LP just in time for Christmas. Compiled as a thank you to everyone who has supported the label from it’s inception, it includes a mixture of tracks old and new, fast and slow, light and dark, yin and yang, the Omni Music vision.
The LP includes tracks that are reconstructured projects, tracks left over from defunct labels as well as new compositions added to the pot. Named after the classic LP from Richie Hawtin, under his Plastikman guise, Eschaton pays homage to one of his influences with an excursion into deep acid soaked dnb. The whole album stays on a techno/Idm/ambient inspired vibe while managing to maintain it’s foothold in dnb.
Enjoy features with his remix of the title track, taking it into his world of twisted beats and creating another distinctive piece. Eschaton will return in 2012 with a number of projects, a collaboration album with the Russian band ‘Sky residents’, a vinyl and CD release on Advection music, as well as releases planned on Golden Age, Subtle Audio, Pinecone Moonshine, Transference Recordings, Offworld Recordings and of course, Omni Music.
