The incredible Radioactive Watermelon make their epic debut on Omni Music. For those who don't know, this is the pseudonym of Mellonius One, the downtempo wizard that has had a string of releases on the incredible Stasis Recordings. This is their Drum and Bass alter-ego, and what a character it is, expertly blending serene pads and glimmering melodies with an assault of breakbeat mastery. Deep Time starts the proceedings with downtempo drums that erupt into drumfunk and amen edits, No words keeps up the breakbeat drama with more choppy rhythms and arpeggios. The musical bliss continues throughout, all the way to the closing track 'Once a River' with its interplay of breaks and melodic joy. We can't wait to hear more Drum and Bass masterpieces from this talented artist.
